Doberman Pinschers are strong, powerful and very regal in their stance. They are lean and muscular with a short, tight coat that requires no real maintenance. They come in the popular black and tan, blue-gray and red. Tails are docked and ears are usually cropped to conform to the breed standard (if desired).
Doberman Pinschers were bred as guard dogs. They are extremely intelligent and therefore easily trained. They are not known to be vicious but instead; dignified, loving and extremely loyal.
Doberman puppies are extremely playful and can be a bit pushy if allowed to do as they please. These puppies have a natural protective instinct and will utilize this instinct to protect all family members at all times as they are innately superior guard dogs.
Doberman Pinscher puppies thrive well in any surrounding; house, yard, apartments etc. They are athletic and require routine walks but they dwell indoors with no objections once they are well cared for and are able to do what they do best: goof around with the family and protect them when needed.
